The City of Savannah would like to thank our dedicated city employees, contractors, and residents for their outstanding efforts and cooperation throughout the ice storm cleanup process. Thanks to the hard work and rapid response of our crews, the community has made tremendous progress in recovering from the storm.
The final day for FEMA-eligible pickup of ice storm disaster-related debris will be May 29, 2026.
The city will continue to collect debris after this date; however, debris collected after May 29, 2026, will not qualify for FEMA reimbursement.
To assist in these efforts, Residents are encouraged to place all remaining ice storm-related debris at the curb no later than Tuesday, May 26, 2026, to ensure eligibility under FEMA guidelines.
We appreciate everyone’s patience, support, and commitment as Savannah continues its recovery efforts together.
