A: No. You must file a final business license report within 15 days of selling your business. The new owner must then apply for a business license in their name.

A: Yes. A business owner has 20 days after opening a business to apply for a business license without penalty.
Q: Does the city have a leash law?
A: Savannah’s ordinance is in compliance with Tennessee Law. Dogs and cats do have to be vaccinated and wear a collar with tags indicating current vaccinations. Owners are responsible for their animals and the animals actions if they stray from the owners property. Female animals in heat and animals considered vicious are not allowed to run loose.
